Job summary

Abacus Technology Corporation seeks a Financial Manager to support acquisition and engineering tasks at Hanscom AFB in the C3I&N Directorate. This full-time role requires applying AF and DoD fiscal policy to budgeting, reporting, and financial documentation for multiple programs.

You will forecast budgets, analyze variances, perform EVM reviews, prepare materials for FIAR audits, and maintain an audit trail.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in financial management including DoD experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; additional years may substitute for degree requirements.
• Familiar with DoD acquisition phases and relevant DoD financial management regulations.
• Knowledge of DoD funds control and governance processes such as investment Budget Authority, O&M Budget Authority, reimbursable Budget Authority.
• US citizen with current Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist and deliver acquisition-related financial management processes per AF and DoD policy.
• Prepare program budgets, reports and financial documentation; analyze funding needs and improve efficiency.
• Forecast budgets, analyze variances, perform program or financial execution reporting and EVM analysis.
• Compile division-level financial material for FIAR audits, internal control program and routine reporting.
• Advise on funds management documentation and automated models to aid decision making.
• Prepare inputs for BER, IBR, Milestone Decision Review, MAR, PMR and IPT risk assessments.
• Maintain independent audit trail to track funding document status and proper use of funds.
• Support AF/DoD exercises and simulations to test unit readiness.
• Monitor, report and maintain reimbursable budget program.
• Research accounting issues using CCaRS, CRIS, WAWF, FM Suite and other systems.
