Job summary

NES, Inc. is seeking a detail-driven Controller to oversee all financial operations, including month-end close, payroll, and accounting across AP/AR. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
• 7+ years of professional accounting experience with 3+ years in a senior/financial management role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Project-based accounting knowledge and experience required.
• Clear understanding of state and federal tax laws.
• Experience with accounting software/ERP systems (Sage Intacct preferred).
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee AP, AR, payroll, collections, invoicing, and general ledger management.
• Lead biweekly, monthly, and annual close processes and financial reporting.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with management to set budgets, benchmarks, and reporting standards.
• Ensure adherence to GAAP and tax regulations.
• Manage ERP systems, system optimization, upgrades, and process improvements.
• Provide leadership to accounting team and drive performance.
