Job summary

Insight Pest Solutions seeks a Controller to build and strengthen accounting infrastructure and reporting processes. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, maintains internal controls, supports planning, and ensures multi-state tax compliance.

You will partner with leadership to deliver insights that enable growth and efficiency. The Controller will oversee daily accounting operations, month-end close, and intercompany allocations, while mentoring staff and driving process improvements

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Controller or Assistant Controller experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Experience managing month-end close and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with intercompany allocations.
• Experience in multi-state and local payroll tax and sales tax.
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Oversee monthly intercompany allocations.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Monitor cash flow and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.
• Analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
