Job summary

NES, Inc. seeks a highly capable Controller to oversee all financial operations in an in-office role in California.

You will manage AP, AR, payroll, and the general ledger, lead month-end close, and partner with senior leadership to deliver insightful financial analysis. As a hands-on leader, you will drive internal controls, budgeting, and forecasting, while ensuring regulatory compliance and accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 7+ years of professional accounting experience, including senior role.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and internal controls expectations.
• Experience with payroll, tax compliance, and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations: AP, AR, payroll, GL.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and monitor budgeting, forecasting, and KPIs.
• Manage ERP systems, system improvements, and data integrity.
• Provide leadership and professional development for staff.
