Job summary

Alterra Mountain Company is seeking a Financial Analyst to join the FP&A team in Denver. You will own weekly and monthly Ikon Pass visitation and financial reporting, coordinate budgets and forecasts, and deliver analysis to senior leadership in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires advanced Excel, strong accounting knowledge, and the ability to distill large data sets into clear, executive-level insights.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of finance or accounting experience in a mid-to-large company.
• Experience in a large, complex organization preferred.
• Advanced Excel with complex financial models.
• Solid understanding of accruals, allocations, and revenue recognition.
• Strong analytical rigor with executive-level reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative teammate with cross-functional budget ownership.
• Professional experience with diversity and inclusion in the workforce.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly Ikon Pass visitation and financial results.
• Prepare the monthly consolidated leadership reporting; coordinate entries and accruals.
• Own analytics for insurance programs, including renewal modeling.
• Provide financial support for contract economics, revenue and expenses, and monthly reporting.
• Facilitate the annual budget for assigned areas with budget owners.
• Own the monthly forecast for Ikon Pass visits, revenue, and programs.
• Collaborate with leaders on results; participate in monthly/quarterly reviews.
• Deliver financial modeling and scenario analysis; improve reporting tools.
