Job summary

Xylem is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to support Smart Metering budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. You will partner with Finance and Operations leadership to drive insights, manage variances, and ensure data integrity across revenue, margins, and expenses.

The role requires strong analytical skills, 5+ years in finance, and experience with financial modeling. Hybrid work with in-office days is expected, with a comprehensive compensation package and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• CPA or CMA preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years related financial work experience.
• Proven analytical ability and leadership capabilities.
• Demonstrated experience in financial modeling and planning required.

Responsibilities

• Supports the overall forecast and budget process for Smart Metering through understanding of revenue, margins, expenses, capital projects, investments, headcount, etc., ensuring clear variance explanations.
• Provide oversight and management of weekly status meetings of operations, labor and overhead spending to track efficiencies and variance to budget and forecast.
• Drive business and financial insights into the senior operations management team through data and analytics.
• Monitor all inventory levels and ensure alignment to budget and forecast expectations.
• Support coordination and execution of the Smart Metering budget, strategic plan, and forecasting activities, understanding year over year changes.
• Provide daily, weekly, and monthly status updates to senior leadership on financial results and comparisons to latest estimates and forecasts.
• Work with CI Leadership and provide savings guidance guidelines and present Productivity results to Senior Leadership.
• Implement standard processes to ensure data integrity and completeness.
• Ad hoc analysis as needed by management.
