Job summary

Community Health Centers of the Central Coast, Inc. seeks a Financial Analyst in the Finance department to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the organization and its grant activities.

Under the Director of Finance, you will analyze financial data from multiple sources, prepare forecasts, and generate reports for leadership and external stakeholders. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least five years in finance, preferably in FQHC or ambulatory care settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline required.
• Minimum five (5) years as a financial analyst, preferably within an FQHC or ambulatory care setting.
• Demonstrated proficiency in PPS rates, managed care capitation, and UDS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to senior management.
• Uses multiple resources, including key metrics and variance reporting, to assist budget preparation.
• Produces monthly provider productivity reports for CFO review and external stakeholders.
• Interprets financial data to support informed decision-making and communicates findings.
• Monitors department resources to ensure efficient operations and stewardship of assets.
• Build annual operating budgets, perform variance analysis, and forecast cash flows.
• Evaluate payment rate adjustments and submit requests to external agencies.
• Ensure compliance with budgetary requirements and standards.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external organizations on projects.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes across systems.
• Identify opportunities for performance improvement across the organization.
• Analyze patient accounts receivable, encounter volumes, and collections performance.
• Produce monthly production reports from billing software and provide additional reporting.
• Prepare schedules for external audits and UD S reporting.
