Job summary

Smartly is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our Chicago-based Commercial Finance/FP&A team. You will be the bridge between finance and the business, delivering financial insights to senior leaders to drive growth and profitability.

The role requires 4–8 years in Commercial Finance/FP&A or related fields, with SaaS or agency experience valued. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence strategic decisions with robust analyses.

Qualifications

5+ years in strategic finance, FP&A, private equity, venture capital, investment banking, management consulting, public markets or equity research.
Strong analytical and modelling skills with ability to tell a story from data.
Advanced Excel; comfortable with SQL, large data models and performance frameworks.

Responsibilities

Act as a strategic business partner to Leadership and department heads, delivering financial analyses and insights.
Forecast, analyse and report KPI trends to identify risks and opportunities.
Lead quarterly forecasting and budget planning with leadership teams.
Support pricing, deal reviews and investment cases with robust financial modelling.
Drive process improvements in forecasting, reporting and business partnering.
