Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking an exceptional Finance Business Partner for the FP&A team to own the financial strategy and budgeting for a major G&A footprint. The role partners with the CFO, CAO, and CIO, driving capital allocation and headcount planning with rigorous financial models.

The ideal candidate blends financial engineering with executive storytelling, maintains an ownership mindset, and builds scalable processes to support rapid global growth in a dynamic tech environment.

Qualifications

• 7-8+ years of progressive corporate finance experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or related analytical field.
• Experience in public SaaS or multinational environments with SaaS metrics and operating costs.
• Advanced financial modeling and data manipulation in Excel/Sheets; ability to build flexible models from scratch.
• Strong operational mindset with a passion for process optimization, automation, and scale in AI-enabled environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to distill complex data into executive narratives.
• Proven autonomy with track record of driving projects and writing playbooks in ambiguous situations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent.
• Bonus: An MBA, CPA, or CFA; experience with enterprise platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with executives (CFO, CAO, CIO) to translate decisions into financial plans, budgets, and headcount allocation.
• Design, automate, and implement AI-enabled forecasting processes to improve efficiency.
• Build and stress-test financial models to guide capital allocation and major vendor investments.
• Deliver monthly board-ready reporting, variance analyses, and clear next steps for leadership.
• Collaborate with Accounting during month-end close to ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Coordinate cross-functionally to align annual and long-range operating plans for G&A.
• Create scalable, automated workflows to support rapid global growth.
• Contribute to long-range planning and competitive benchmarking for G&A.
