Job summary

Vehicle Service Group, a Dover Company, located at the Madison, IN manufacturing site, seeks a Manufacturing Plant Controller to partner with operations, logistics, and R&D to drive strategic financial performance.

You will report to the Finance Director NSA, lead the finance team, oversee standard costing, budgeting, forecasts, and cost-saving initiatives, while ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
10+ years’ experience in a professional finance/business environment.
Manufacturing plant controller experience.
Experience with standard costing systems; CPA/CMA or MBA preferred.
ERP systems experience in a manufacturing setting.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

Support operations and supply chain leaders to drive process improvements.
Report and analyze monthly financial performance; prepare budgets and forecasts.
Partner with plant leadership to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Improve management reporting with timely financial information.
Oversee cost accounting and standard costing processes.
Assist planning for capacity vs demand in forecasts.
Lead Lean initiatives and cost-reduction efforts.
Mentor and develop the finance team.
Maintain confidentiality in all interactions.
