Job summary

The Nature Conservancy is seeking a Finance Manager to lead financial planning, analysis, and reporting for the Georgia/Florida business unit. You will partner with conservation, philanthropy, operations, and leadership to translate strategy into actionable financial guidance and support.

The role requires strong GAAP knowledge and experience with budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. Remote/hybrid options are available; travel and leadership collaboration are expected as part of the

Qualifications

• Experience budgeting, high-level financial analysis and partnering with leadership.
• Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles and regulations.
• Experience with accounting principles, practices and regulations.
• Experience using accounting and financial reporting systems.
• Experience developing budgets, performing high-level financial analysis, and advising leadership.
• Experience acting as a consultant/advisor to senior executives.
• Familiarity with Uniform Guidance and related regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and implement financial initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
• Deliver financial reporting, analysis, and scenario modeling for decision support.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities; recommend actions to improve performance.
• Provide financial guidance to leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Ensure internal controls and compliance with policies and regulatory standards.
• Oversee financial data accuracy, integrity, and controls.
• Support fundraising initiatives, grants, contracts, and strategic projects.
• Assist governance by serving as a financial resource to boards and committees.
• Oversee financial aspects of contracts and agreements.
• Collaborate with pod and division leaders to implement strategies.
• Build partnerships across the business unit and promote financial accountability.
