Job summary

The Nature Conservancy seeks a Finance Manager I to lead financial planning, forecasting, and reporting for a Georgia/Florida business unit. This role partners with conservation, philanthropy, operations, and leadership to provide strategic financial guidance and high-level analysis.

Remote or hybrid work options are available; candidates must be in the Atlanta area or willing to travel up to 15%. The position emphasizes internal controls, donor compliance, and collaboration across the Southern

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field with 4+ years' related experience.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and advising leadership.
• Experience with accounting principles, GAAP, and financial reporting systems.
• Ability to act as a consultant/advisor to senior executives.
• Experience managing internal controls and donor compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning activities including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
• Deliver high-quality financial reporting and analysis to inform decisions.
• Identify risks/opportunities and recommend actions to improve performance.
• Partner with leadership to translate strategy into operational execution.
• Support governance by serving as a financial resource to boards and committees.
