Job summary

The Nature Conservancy seeks a Finance Manager I to lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for the Georgia/Florida business unit. You will partner with conservation, philanthropy, operations and leadership to translate strategy into action while ensuring strong internal controls and compliance with GAAP and donor requirements.

The role reports to pod/division finance leaders, supports governance, oversees contracts and financial data integrity, and travels 10-15% as

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
Experience with budgeting, financial analysis, and leadership in a corporate or nonprofit setting.
Experience acting as a consultant/advisor to senior executives.
Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.

Responsibilities

Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for the business unit.
Provide strategic financial guidance and decision support to leadership.
Ensure internal controls and compliance with donor requirements and regulations.
Partner with conservation, philanthropy, operations and leadership to translate financial strategy into action.
Support governance activities and financial stewardship across the unit.
Oversee contracts and financial transactions to ensure sound financial practices.
