Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Sr. Finance Manager to lead financial planning, forecasting, and controls across programs. You will manage a team of Financial Analysts, drive budgets, and ensure compliance with FAR and ASC-606. The role shapes strategic financial direction and supports audits and cost analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration required.
• 12+ years’ experience in relevant disciplines with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
• 5+ years in a people leadership role.
• Experience with costing and pricing of complex manufactured products.
• Knowledge of Government Cost accounting principles and FAR.
• Expertise in ASC-606 Revenue from Contracts with Customers.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Hyperion, Oracle EBS, ProPricer and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Provide monthly forecasting and variance reporting for senior management.
• Lead and develop a team of Financial Analysts.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and government regulations.
• Support audits and challenge EAC figures to protect margins.
• Oversee budgets, schedules, and cost analyses for programs.
• Participate in indirect budgeting and headcount planning.
• Assist with proposals and pricing for new captures.
• Develop integrated master schedules for contracts and R&D.
• Communicate analysis and recommendations to executives.
• Establish objectives and delegate tasks to the team.
