Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. in Moorpark, CA is seeking a Finance Lead to drive strategic and operational financial planning for hardware product lines, manage budgets, analyze costs, and provide guidance to product management, engineering, operations, and sales.

You will forecast, ensure compliance with FAR and ASC-606, support audits, and partner with cost accounting, supply chain, and home office teams to optimize margins and program performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent.
• 10+ years in finance-related roles with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
• Experience in costing/pricing of complex manufactured products and development contracts.
• Familiarity with Government Cost accounting principles and FAR.
• Knowledge of ASC-606 Revenue from Contracts with Customers.

Responsibilities

• Provides monthly forecasting and variance reporting for hardware product lines.
• Ensures compliance with internal procedures and government procurement regulations.
• Supports audits and challenges program Estimates at Complete to protect margins.
• Oversees budgets, schedules, and financial analyses for programs and cost control.
• Collaborates with Cost Accounting, Supply Chain, and Engineering on cost variances.
