Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, is seeking a Director of Finance to lead financial operations for our Northeast manufacturing footprint. The role guides strategy, ensures fiscal discipline, and provides insights to drive profitability and sustainable growth.

The role requires 10+ years in finance within manufacturing, CPA preferred, and strong ERP experience. You will partner with operations, lead budgeting and forecasting, and manage a regional finance team.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required.
A CPA designation is strongly preferred.
10+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with significant time spent in a manufacturing environment.
Proven experience in senior leadership or management role, such as a Plant Controller.
Demonstrated experience with ERP system implementation and optimization.
Deep knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and strategic planning.
Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and manufacturing finance principles.
Excellent leadership, team management, and mentoring skills.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present complex financial information to management stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Financial planning: Provide budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes; partner with leadership.
Financial reporting and analysis: Oversee GAAP reporting and KPI dashboards for performance insight.
Cost accounting and inventory: Manage standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation across sites.
Operational finance partnership: Collaborate with operations and supply chain to align budgets with execution.
ERP systems and process improvement: Lead ERP enhancements and automate finance processes.
Risk management and compliance: Maintain internal controls and regulatory compliance; liaise with auditors.
Capital expenditures and investments: Assess financial viability of capex, M&A and strategic investments.
Team leadership: Mentor and develop regional finance and accounting teams.
