Job summary

Stedi, based in the United States, is seeking an experienced Strategic Finance professional to raise the bar for business operations as it enters its next growth phase. You will build upon existing models, metrics, and systems to deepen understanding of the business, improve forecast accuracy, and ensure our financial infrastructure scales with the company.

You will report to the Head of Finance & Operations and work closely with the CEO and leaders across the company.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, private equity, consulting, or similarly rigorous analytical roles.
• Exceptional financial modeling skills and ability to build models from raw inputs to decision-ready outputs.
• Ability to connect financial statements with operating metrics and forecast accurately.
• Highly technical for a finance professional, with a focus on automation and data-driven workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve Stedi's company financial model, including revenue, expenses, headcount, cash, and long-range forecasting.
• Build the metrics, models, and reporting infrastructure to understand business performance with high accuracy and traceability.
• Own annual planning and ongoing forecasting processes with assumptions reflecting actual operations.
• Develop reporting and analysis explaining performance against plan and the drivers of revenue, gross margin, and expenses.
• Collaborate with Accounting to digest monthly results and translate performance into reliable management reporting and models.
• Build models to answer strategic questions about customer/product economics, pricing, and long-range growth.
• Own headcount and spend planning, reflecting hiring plans and investments.
• Maintain cash/runway forecasts for various operating scenarios.
• Automate financial data collection, reporting, and analysis using modern tooling and AI.
• Work with Head of Finance & Operations and CEO on strategic financial analyses for major decisions.
