Job summary

The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, WV, is seeking a Controller to lead the accounting function across entities. This role oversees the general ledger, financial reporting, month-end and year-end close processes, internal controls, and audit support to ensure accurate, timely financial records.

You will work closely with Treasury and Finance leadership to provide strategic oversight, develop accounting staff, and partner with operations to support financial objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Five or more years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or Controller-level role.
• Experience managing the full accounting cycle, including month-end close and financial statement preparation.
• Multi-entity accounting experience, including inter company transactions and eliminations.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control practices.
• Experience serving as the primary contact during external audits.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP and USALI standards.
• Oversee the general ledger, chart of accounts, and account reconciliation processes across multiple entities.
• Lead, develop, and evaluate the accounting management team.
• Review and approve journal entries, accruals, prepaid expenses, depreciation, and inter company allocations.
• Coordinate annual audits and lender or regulatory examinations while preparing schedules.
