Job summary

ARKA Group L.P. seeks a detail-oriented Controller to lead the finance team for the Radar and Sensor Technologies group in Ypsilanti, MI. The role focuses on U.S.

GAAP compliance, financial reporting, and model development to support fast-growing defense and space initiatives. The incumbent will oversee month-end close, revenue modeling, rate management, and audits, collaborating across functions and supporting project teams with financial guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related finance field.
• 8+ years of experience in accounting, month end closings and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Government Contract Accounting (FAR, DFAR, CAS) a plus.
• Ability to present financial information to a non-financial audience.
• Working knowledge of accounting and finance best practices.
• Strong Excel and modeling skills.
• Experience with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly close process including review of journal entries and allocations.
• Review and analyze percentage-of-completion and shipment-based revenue models.
• Manage and analyze direct and indirect rates.
• Review and approve account reconciliations.
• Support auditors for financial statements and government audits.
• Provide financial guidance across all functions of the organization.
• Build financial models and perform ad hoc analyses.
• Lead a team of finance professionals.
