Raytheon-Rafael Area Protection Systems (R2S) seeks an Assistant Controller to lead the accounting department, focusing on GAAP-compliant financial statements, reconciliations, AP/AR, reporting, internal controls, and audit support.

The role reports to the Controller, supervising 2 direct reports, with 25% travel to Arlington, VA. U.S. citizenship required for defense programs, remote work option available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• CPA or CMA preferred for the role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, FAR, and CAS.
• Experience with DCAA compliance and audits.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage the operations of an accounting department with timely cadence.
• Prepare and report financial statements with GAAP compliance.
• Review and maintain financial controls including balance sheet reconciliations.
• Serve as escalation point on technical accounting topics.
• Oversee AP: invoices, liquidations, and check runs.
• Oversee AR: invoices, liquidations, collections.
• Oversee Construction in Process and fixed assets.
• Train and develop accounting team.
• Assist audits by internal/external parties and government agencies.
