Job summary

ARKA Group L.P. is seeking a detail-oriented Controller to lead the finance team for the Radar and Sensor Technologies (RST) business group based out of Ypsilanti, MI with on-site presence in Chantilly, VA. You will develop and present financial information and models to support strategic decisions in a fast-growing national security company.

This role requires strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage audits and government requirements while guiding

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related finance area.
  • 8+ years of experience in Accounting, Month End Closings and Financial Reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. Government Contract Accounting (FAR, DFAR, CAS) a plus.
  • Ability to present financial information to a non-financial audience.
  • Working knowledge of accounting and finance best practices.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to perform in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong Excel and modeling skills.
  • Proficiency in other Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong understanding and experience working with ERP systems.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI U.S. Government Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze percentage-of-completion and shipment-based revenue models
  • Management and analysis of direct & indirect rates

  • Support and interact with auditors for financial statement and government audits
  • Understand key business drivers
  • Assist project teams with financial guidance across all functions of the organization
  • Build financial models
  • Perform ad hoc analysis as required
  • Work collaboratively across functions and businesses
  • Lead a team of finance professionals managing all personnel related activities

Position Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and strategically minded Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will lead the finance team for the Radar and Sensor Technologies (RST) business group based out of Ypsilanti, Michigan. We are looking for a leader with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills who is able to develop, analyze, and present financial information / models in a concise and easily comprehensible manner.
