Job summary

Digital Cloak, LLC is seeking a Controller to lead the accounting operations from the Northern Virginia area. You will report to the CFO and establish company-wide accounting policies while ensuring GAAP compliance across the organization.

The role oversees general ledger, payroll, AR/AP, and financial reporting, and partners with Business Development and Contracts on pricing strategy for new pursuits. A CPA/CMA and 8+ years of progressive accounting experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory experience.
• CPA or CMA designation strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Devise and oversee accounting policy implementation.
• Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implement controls over transactions.
• Identify financial risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Implement and maintain all aspects of the company’s ERP system and train employees accordingly.
• Oversee periodic financial reporting to ensure GAAP compliance.
• Supervise monthly close, billing, AR, AP, fixed assets, expense reporting and payroll.
• Present financial reports and control matters to executive leadership; support CFO.
• Lead budgeting/forecasting and cost/price analysis for new business and contracts.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax preparers for audits and filings.
• Collaborate with program/project managers on budget/forecast comparisons.
