Job summary

The Robert Baker Company is seeking an experienced Controller to lead the accounting and financial reporting functions. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the Controller will be a key member of the company's financial leadership team and will work closely with senior management on financial planning, analysis and strategic decision-making.

The Controller will oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management and tax coordination while ensuring strong internal controls across

Qualifications

> Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance; CPA or MBA preferred.
> 8–10+ years of progressive accounting and financial management experience.
> Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and cash-flow management.
> Strong GAAP knowledge and internal controls; multi-location exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

Oversee accounting operations including general ledger, A/R, A/P and financial reporting.
Lead monthly and year-end close and ensure timely, accurate statements.
Coordinate budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
Manage cash flow, treasury activities and working-capital management.
Oversee tax coordination with outside professionals and annual filings.
Coordinate external audits and financial reporting requirements.
Develop accounting personnel and align responsibilities with the COO and Executive Committee.
