Job summary

TwentyThree North is seeking a Controller to oversee the company’s accounting and financial reporting functions, partnering with the CFO and executive leadership to support financial objectives.

The Controller will manage monthly close, financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting operations, while leading a team and coordinating audits with external advisors to ensure compliant, scalable finance practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• Big 4/public accounting experience preferred but not required.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes with timely reporting.
• Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and fixed assets.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and internal controls.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
• Direct accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and related operations.
• Partner with FP&A and leadership to provide financial insights.
• Coordinate annual audit and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve reporting.
