Job summary

Major Tool is seeking a Controller to own the close process, financial reporting, and internal controls across multiple U.S. locations. You will partner with operational leaders on forecasting, budgeting, and performance insights to drive efficiency.

This senior role requires CPA, strong GAAP expertise, and experience leading accounting teams. Competitive compensation includes benefits and a performance-based bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including 2+ years in a Controller/Accounting Manager role.
• 3+ years FP&A or finance partnering experience with forecasting and budgeting.
• Advanced financial modeling with scenario analysis and driver-based planning.
• Hands-on inventory accounting and manufacturing/industrial operations experience.
• Strong U.S. GAAP technical accounting knowledge.
• Leadership experience in managing accounting/finance teams and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close across locations; ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements under U.S. GAAP.
• Manage intercompany eliminations and multi-entity consolidations.
• Coordinate with external auditors and oversee annual audit process.
• Maintain accounting policies, documentation, and implement new standards.
• Lead FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis for business units.
• Support ERP optimization, automation, and cross-site process improvements.
• Oversee inventory accounting, cost models, and margin analysis.
• Partner with Operations on BOM accuracy, overhead absorption, and cost variance.
