Job summary

Leoforce is seeking a permanent Controller to own the financial engine of our growing business in Newark, NJ. You will oversee accounting operations, strengthen financial reporting, and translate complex data into strategic insights for executive leadership.

This is a hands-on leadership role with a focus on forecasting, planning, and scalable processes. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (10+ preferred), a CPA or equivalent, and deep GAAP knowledge.

Qualifications

• 5+ years progressive accounting/finance experience; 10+ years preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• Big Four public accounting experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Hands-on NetSuite or equivalent ERP experience.
• Experience in financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and planning.
• Proven leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and close processes.
• Deliver GAAP-compliant monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to drive growth.
• Partner with executives on strategic planning and resource allocation.
• Develop internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard assets.
