Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in Detroit is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to apply advanced cash and accrual accounting fundamentals. You will prepare, evaluate, maintain, and deliver complete financial reports for a diverse portfolio of CBRE clients and properties.

This role sits within the Financial Strategy and Operations function, ensuring accounting policies and controls are maintained. You will lead through standard procedures, deliver timely packages, and support management with complex analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience; combination of experience and education considered in lieu of a degree.
• Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
• Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
• Advanced math skills for complex financial calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, evaluate, maintain, and deliver financial reports for a complex portfolio of clients and properties.
• Create and post journal entries; ensure expenses, receipts, owner distributions, funding requests posted for the period.
• Generate and review financial packages for accuracy and timely delivery to clients and management teams.
• Review funding and payment requests for accuracy, documentation, andAuthorization per procedures.
• Respond to and resolve complex accounting issues and reports for management and clients.
• Maintain and report benchmarks and performance metrics; apply standard accounting procedures.
