Job summary

Applied Dynamics International is seeking an accomplished finance executive to guide the company’s financial strategy and controls from its Michigan base. This role partners with the President/CEO to translate strategy into operating plans, ensure accurate reporting, and optimize liquidity.

The VP of Finance will oversee accounting quality, internal controls, and day‑to‑day financial operations across multiple revenue streams, including software and engineering services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field with substantial accounting/financial-management expertise.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience including leadership of accounting/finance operations.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, revenue recognition, internal controls, and financial statement prep.
• Experience managing project/contract economics, working capital, and multiple revenue streams.
• Experience leading people and improving financial processes, reporting, and controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning and analysis: budgets, forecasts, multiyear models, scenario planning.
• Translate plans into financial requirements and objectives.
• Partner with CEO and leaders to evaluate investments and profitability.
• Oversee monthly/quarterly/annual close, consolidations, and policy application.
• Manage accounting, GL, A/P/AR, payroll, fixed assets, inventory, and audits.
• Support UK operations coordination with US finance.
