The ideal candidate has deep FP&A experience, supports strategic decisions, and maintains strong internal controls. This on-site role at our Miamisburg, OH office offers meaningful equity participation and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Progressive finance leadership experience at the director or executive level.
• Strong FP&A orientation and ability to partner with operations.
• Hands-on operator in a lean, fast-growth environment.
• Experience with GAAP, financial modeling, and building reporting infrastructure.
• Experience in engineering, professional services, or project-based business.
• Experience with ERP markets such as Deltek NetSuite Unanet or BQE.
• Private equity-backed environment with exposure to M&A.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/MBA/CMA a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead all finance and accounting functions for the organization.
• Own the monthly close to GAAP, including project-based revenue recognition and WIP accrual, AP, AR, payroll, treasury, and net working capital.
• Oversee project accounting, WIP, utilization, backlog, job costing, and project profitability.
• Improve working capital, billing, collections, and cash-flow forecasting.
• Lead FP&A reporting, budgeting, and P&L and cash flow forecasts.
• Support M&A diligence and integration post-close.
• Drive financial and operational decision-making for growth and profitability.
• Develop internal controls and finance process improvements.
• Build relations with lenders, auditors, and external partners.
• Establish and document finance processes and SOPs with future team growth.
• Oversee hiring and development of the finance team as the business scales.
