Job summary

Cherokee Federal is seeking a Sr. Capture Manager to lead the end-to-end capture process for major federal opportunities. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, shape strategy, and drive winning bid efforts from qualification through proposal readiness.

The role requires extensive experience in government contracting, Shipley methodology, and a proven track record of winning large captures. Excellent leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 12+ years in program management, business development, or capture management.
• 7+ years leading federal capture efforts on large opportunities (>$100M TPV).
• Experience with Shipley process and government contracts (GSA/FAR).
• Proven leadership in cross-functional, multi-site teams.

Responsibilities

• Develops the bid strategy, keeping senior management briefed on bid progress, and leads complex and large captures through proposal contributors across functions.
• Leverages capture framework, capture plan, and best practices to increase probability of win in each phase.
• Develops and implements customer call plan and shaping strategy.
• Develops and implements teaming strategy using internal capabilities assessments, gap analysis, and subcontractor capabilities matrices.
• Interacts with all levels of management, functional POCs, staff, and customers, and tracks tasks with time discipline.
• Conducts after-action reviews for capture participants to document lessons learned and adjust capture approach.
• Participates in bidder conferences, oral presentations and site surveys.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
