Job summary

CGS is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our Information Technology department on full-time basis in the United States. You will partner with government and internal teams to define functional requirements and translate them into actionable documentation and process maps.

You will develop briefs and content for executives, support service delivery improvements, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with program goals and security requirements.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• Must clear a government background investigation and obtain clearance
• 7+ years in business analysis, systems analysis, or related design of information systems
• Experience with phase-based and Agile delivery methods
• Experience with Jira or similar Agile tools
• Strong ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Ability to work collaboratively in teams and independently
• Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Familiarity with government projects and policy/procedures teams
• Experience presenting to senior leadership and government executives
• Experience managing client requirements and small teams
• Strong analytical and business presentation skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and translate business and functional requirements into process maps and technical specs
• Create high-level briefs and communications for customers, management, and executives
• Produce documentation like system diagrams, ops concepts, and monthly status reports
• Identify opportunities for service delivery improvement and new technology implementations
• Independently gather information from SMEs to write manuals and technical specs
• Develop an understanding of MS and Atlassian products (Teams, SharePoint, Visio, Jira, Confluence) to create clear content
• Research, outline, write, and edit content with cross-team collaboration
• Develop content across media with a cohesive voice and usability
• Perform risk management and escalate issues as needed
• Support continuous improvement and client relationship growth
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies and collaboration
