Job summary

CGS is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to work with a large federal agency within CGS's Information Technology department. The role focuses on business operations and content strategy, partnering with internal owners and external partners to define functional requirements.

The ideal candidate is a US citizen with a Bachelor’s in Computer Science or engineering, 7+ years in business or systems analysis, and experience with Agile and Jira.

Qualifications

• US citizen required, security clearance capable
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or engineering
• 7+ years in business analysis, systems analysis, or design of information systems
• Experience with phase-based and Agile delivery methods
• Experience with Jira or other Agile tools
• Strong ability to translate technical concepts for both technical and non-technical users
• Excellent written and verbal communication; team player and independent
• Familiarity with government projects and policy/procedures teams

Responsibilities

• Develop and document business and functional requirements
• Translate requirements into process maps and technical specifications
• Create high-level briefings and communications for customers and executives
• Identify opportunities for service delivery improvement and new technology
• Gather information from subject matter experts to write manuals and specs
• Develop content for Microsoft and Atlassian products (Teams, SharePoint, Visio, Jira, Confluence)
• Manage client interaction and expectations
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies and collaboration
• Support continuous improvement of products, services, and processes
