Job summary

CGS Federal is seeking a seasoned Business Analyst to join our Information Technology department, partnering with government stakeholders to define functional requirements and translate them into actionable designs. You will help shape content strategy and process improvements for federal projects and ensure deliverables meet rigorous standards.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Ability to obtain Government security clearance.
• 7+ years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, and/or design of information systems programs and related business processes.
• Experience with phase-based and Agile delivery methods.
• Experience with Jira or other Agile tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well both in a team environment and independently.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of briefings, agendas, and other documentation for stakeholders.
• Document and analyze business and functional requirements to translate into process maps and system specs.
• Create comprehensive documentation including system diagrams, COOs, and monthly status reports.
• Develop high-level briefings and communications for customers and executives.
• Identify and implement opportunities for service delivery improvement and new tech adoption.
• Conduct risk management and communicate issues to leadership.
• Gather information from subject matter experts to write procedures and technical specs.
• Develop understanding of Microsoft and Atlassian products (Teams, SharePoint, Visio, Jira, Confluence) to translate product info into clear content.
• Research, outline, write, and edit content in collaboration with team members.
• Ensure consistent, usable content across documentation forms.
• Support continuous improvement by recommending product/process enhancements.
