Job summary

St. Louis Community College is seeking an executive Facilities Director to lead planning, construction, operation, repair, and maintenance of the College’s physical facilities across multiple campuses.

You will establish and monitor contracts, oversee energy and risk management, manage the District Master Facilities Plan, and coordinate space utilization, budgeting, and compliance with applicable policies. The role requires a strong leader who can drive safe, reliable, and customer-focused

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of relevant full-time experience or Master’s degree with 5+ years.
• Experience in custodial, grounds, power plant, maintenance and construction in a higher education setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees construction, renovation and demolition of facilities and property in support of the District Master Facilities Plan.
• Directs maintenance of all District facilities and grounds; manages inspections and punch lists with outside contractors.
• Plans and administers fiscal budget for facilities; monitors expenditures and ensures resources align with budgets.
• Directs operation and maintenance of power plant and equipment; coordinates technical efforts for all site services.
