Job summary

Saint Paul Public Schools is seeking a Director of Facilities to deliver strategic leadership for planning, maintenance, custodial, grounds, construction, environmental health and safety, sustainability, and capital programs across more than 7.8 million square feet of district facilities.

The role leads 350+ employees, drives long-range planning, capital project delivery, asset management, and regulatory compliance to ensure safe, equitable, high-quality learning environments for students,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, executive management or related field.
Minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience in facilities management or related field.
Minimum of four (4) years of supervisory experience.
At least three years of experience managing large-scale capital improvement programs and operating budgets.
At least three years of experience overseeing facilities operations in a large organization.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and oversight for facilities planning, maintenance, and operations.
Lead long-range facilities master planning, capital project delivery, and asset management.
Oversee budgeting, contracts, compliance, and labor relations for the district facilities portfolio.
