Job summary

Lion Real Estate Group is seeking a Director of Facilities to set maintenance standards, programs and controls across our multifamily portfolio. This role focuses on preventive maintenance, risk management, budgets, vendor performance and service team development, supporting service managers rather than daily operations.

You will collaborate with CapEx, Procurement and regional leaders to keep communities safe, well maintained and cost-efficient, with travel to properties as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in multifamily or commercial facilities maintenance, including 2+ years leading multi-site teams.
• Proven experience running preventive maintenance and risk management programs.
• Experience building and managing maintenance budgets across a portfolio.
• Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills.
• Working knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, life safety, elevators).
• Knowledge of OSHA, fair housing accessibility and local code requirements.

Responsibilities

• Preventive maintenance: Own the portfolio preventive maintenance program, including schedules, standards and completion tracking.
• Property walks and reporting: Lead preventive maintenance and risk walks. Report findings, corrective actions and trends to leadership.
