Job summary

National Church Residences is seeking a Director of Housing Maintenance to provide strategic leadership across a portfolio of multifamily communities. You will oversee regional maintenance leads, set policies, ensure timely work orders, preventive maintenance, and safety compliance while partnering with Operations, Compliance, and Capital Projects teams.

The role focuses on asset preservation, capital planning, budgeting, vendor management, and data-driven reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Property Management, or related field.
• 7 years of progressive maintenance leadership in multifamily housing, affordable or senior housing.
• 5 years managing multiple properties or regional maintenance teams; capital planning and budgeting experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to Regional Maintenance Leads and site teams; set policies and monitor performance.
• Oversee preventive maintenance, work orders, unit turns and safety programs.
• Lead asset preservation and capital planning; manage budgets and vendor performance.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and ownership requirements; manage regulatory inspections.
• Develop training, succession planning, and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee maintenance systems, data reporting, and dashboards for performance and compliance.
