Job summary

Lion Real Estate Group in Nashville seeks a Director of Facilities to lead maintenance performance across the portfolio, setting standards, programs and controls for onsite service teams.

You will manage preventive maintenance, risk management, budgets, vendor performance and team development while partnering with CapEx, Procurement and Talent Acquisition to keep communities safe, well maintained and cost-efficient.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in multifamily or commercial facilities maintenance.
• 2+ years leading multi-site teams.
• Experience running preventive maintenance and risk management programs.
• Experience building and managing maintenance budgets.
• Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, life safety and elevators.
• OSHA, fair housing accessibility and local code knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Own portfolio preventive maintenance program including schedules and standards.
• Lead preventive maintenance walks and report trends to leadership.
• Identify and reduce physical, life-safety and liability risks.
• Manage maintenance budgets and monitor variances.
• Select, contract and manage maintenance vendors with SLAs.
• Partner with Procurement on national agreements and pricing.
• Collaborate with CapEx to inform capital plans and warranties.
• Train Service Managers and develop careers.
• Hire service and maintenance staff.
• Set and maintain service standards, policies and tools.
• Lead direct reports with development plans.
