Job summary

GS1 US is seeking a Manager, Event Program Management to lead the integrated planning and execution of our enterprise events, including GS1 Connect. You will partner with event strategists, marketers, internal partners, and external agencies to translate strategy into actionable plans and drive cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate combines strong project management expertise with business judgment and a continuous improvement mindset, and holds a bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
• Approximately 3–5 years of experience in project management, program management, event management, marketing operations, or related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex projects or programs involving multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, planning processes, risk management, and dependency tracking.
• Experience developing integrated project plans, status reporting, and tools that support cross-functional accountability.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive progress without direct reporting authority.

Responsibilities

• Lead integrated planning, coordination, and program management for GS1 Connect and priority enterprise event portfolio.
• Translate strategies into actionable workstreams, milestones, timelines, and dependencies.
• Coordinate activities across strategy, marketing, audience acquisition, programming, sponsorship, technology, operations, and external partners.
• Establish ownership, deliverables, and accountability for cross-functional workstreams.
• Monitor progress, identify dependencies, and adjust plans to meet objectives and deadlines.
• Develop and maintain program management tools and reporting for visibility into health, milestones, and risks.
• Coordinate with external agencies and partners for seamless event delivery.
• Support governance processes with decisions tracking and escalation when needed.
