Job summary

Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa is seeking an Event Planning Manager to translate detailed plans into unforgettable meetings, conferences, and social events on site. You will balance timelines, client needs, and internal coordination to ensure every detail aligns with the Hyatt Touch.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated desire to satisfy guests in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• 1–3 years hotel event sales/planning or related experience preferred.
• General computer literacy and event-planning systems proficiency.
• Extremely detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Two years hotel experience or completion of an Event Management trainee program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate events as the main contact for assigned group and social events to ensure seamless service.
• Detail agendas, room setups, menus, A/V needs, billing instructions, and special requests.
• Collaborate with Sales, Event Services, Culinary, AV and Operations for flawless execution.
• Lead pre-event meetings and communicate requirements to internal teams.
• Maintain strong planner relationships and provide timely post-event follow-up.
• Keep accurate event files, room block management, pickup reports, and billing docs.
• Collaborate with Administrative Assistant and sales team on event delivery.
