Qualifications

  • A genuine desire to satisfy clients and guests in a fast-paced hotel setting.
  • Clear, professional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • 1–3 years of hotel event sales or event planning experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with event-planning systems and software.
  • Extremely detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Two years of hotel experience or completion of an Event Management trainee program recommended.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and lead event details from concept to on-site execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Event Coordination — Act as the main point of contact for assigned group and social events, ensuring seamless communication and exceptional service.
  • Event Detailing — Coordinate agendas, room setups, menus, audiovisual needs, billing instructions, and special requests.
  • Cross‑Department Collaboration — Partner closely with Sales, Event Services, Culinary, AV, and Operations teams to ensure flawless execution.

Pre‑Event Leadership — Lead pre‑event meetings and clearly communicate event requirements to internal teams.

  • Client Relationship Management — Host site inspections, maintain strong planner relationships, and provide timely follow‑up and post‑event communication.
  • Record Keeping — Maintain accurate event files, room block management, pickup reports, and billing documentation.
  • Team Partnership — Work closely with an assigned Administrative Assistant and collaborate with the sales team.
