Job summary

Applied Resource Group is seeking a Principal Technical Consultant to lead complex enterprise software implementations and advise customers on technical strategy. You will own deployments end-to-end, from discovery through configuration, integration, testing, and go-live, while collaborating with product, engineering, and support teams.

The role requires strong client-facing skills, extensive implementation experience, and the ability to translate business needs into technical designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline; advanced degree is a plus.
• 7+ years of experience in professional services, technical consulting, software implementation, or a similar client-facing technology role.
• Strong hands-on experience with enterprise software configuration, customization, system integration, and technical troubleshooting.
• Experience leading complex software implementations and working directly with customers throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Strong requirements gathering and solution design experience, including the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Experience supporting system integrations, UAT, deployment, and go-live activities.
• Understanding of Agile, Waterfall, or similar project delivery methodologies.
• Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to independently solve complex technical and implementation challenges.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.
• Experience serving as a senior technical resource, technical lead, or trusted advisor on customer engagements is strongly preferred.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Lead client discovery sessions to understand business requirements, technical environments, workflows, and implementation objectives.
• Translate complex customer requirements into technical solution designs and implementation strategies.
• Configure and customize enterprise software solutions, including integrations with existing systems and third-party applications.
• Lead complex software implementations through configuration, testing, UAT, deployment, and go-live.
• Troubleshoot complex technical, configuration, and integration issues and provide guidance on appropriate solutions.
• Serve as a senior technical advisor to customers, providing recommendations, best practices, training, and ongoing technical guidance.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineering, product, support, and other internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Manage multiple customer engagements while maintaining project timelines, technical quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Contribute technical expertise, implementation best practices, and knowledge sharing across the professional services organization.
