Job summary

Salt AI is seeking a Deployment Strategist to own strategic enterprise deployments end-to-end, from scoping to go-live and customer self-sufficiency. You will report to the Chief Customer Officer and work with pharma, biotech, finance, and energy clients deploying Salt into SaaS, VPC, and on-prem environments.

This senior, judgment-heavy role defines scope, negotiates boundaries, directs Forward Deployed and Customer Solutions Engineers, and ensures on-time, on-budget delivery with measurable

Qualifications

• 5+ years owning complex enterprise deployments end to end.
• Delivery of multi-workstream enterprise deployments to go-live.
• Technical fluency in cloud architecture, APIs, data pipelines and integration.
• Ability to hold scope lines against senior stakeholders.
• Strong written documentation and decision records.
• Executive presence with VP/C-level sponsors in large enterprises.
• Comfort with ambiguous use cases and guiding discovery.
• Willingness to travel for client implementations.

Responsibilities

• Scope engagements with clear exit criteria and timelines.
• Own SOW approval for new and expansion work, with sign-off authority.
• Partner with Sales on expansion while guarding scope and capacity.
• Build and run engagement plans with milestones and owners.
• Manage data access, security reviews, and environment provisioning.
• Proactively manage risks, issues, and escalations.
• Ensure delivery quality and production readiness through go-live.
• Lead enablement, training, and change management for customer teams.
• Track effort and budget, flag risks early.
