Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a senior energy and infrastructure consultant in Chicago. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with utilities, IPPs, and lenders, and guide projects from strategic planning to execution.

The role combines technical rigor with executive-level decision support, offering a hybrid work arrangement and substantial client exposure. A 15+ year background in power is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering with 15+ years in the power industry.
• Experience with multiple power generation technologies and utility interactions.
• Proven ability to manage teams of engineers and/or consultants.
• Prior management consulting or advisory experience with client interaction and analytical work products.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning projects including market, technology, and policy assessments.
• Manage economic analyses, risk assessments, and contracting strategies.
• Oversee technical due diligence and owner’s engineering reviews for power projects.
• Provide client program management support and governance improvements.
• Develop staff through mentoring and training and contribute to business development.
