Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a consulting professional to join the SLC group, delivering strategic energy consulting for utilities, IPPs, developers, lenders, and government clients. The role involves navigating energy transition, grid modernization, and program optimization, with extensive client interaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, finance, business, public policy, or related field.
• 5+ years experience in energy/power industry including consulting, advisory, or analytical role.
• Experience with client interaction and analytical work products.
• Experience with utilities, IPPs, project developers, grid operators, or energy investors.
• Strong analytical and problem solving with quantitative models and financial analysis.
• Ability to produce clear deliverables (Excel, PowerPoint, reports) and to communicate to non-technical audiences.
• Experience in client meetings/workshops/presentations.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• High initiative, ownership and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Support project development and strategic planning, including market, technology, and policy assessments.
• Lead and contribute to project economic and cost analyses, risk assessments, and contracting strategies.
• Support or manage technical due diligence and owner’s engineering reviews for power and energy projects.
• Provide client program and project management support, including governance, business processes, controls, and stakeholder alignment.
• Develop conceptual plans in coordination with technical teams.
• Prepare and present project implementation strategies to client executives and project teams.
• Translate complex technical findings into client-ready deliverables, including presentations and written reports.
