Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is hiring for a remote, client-facing consulting role within the United States. You will lead multidisciplinary teams on energy transition projects, from grid modernization to new generation and campus energy planning.

The successful candidate has extensive power-industry experience, strong analytical skills, and a track record of delivering clear client deliverables and managing budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering with 15+ years in power.
• Experience managing teams of engineers/consultants.
• Experience in management consulting or advisory within energy/engineering sectors.
• Proven ability to work with utilities, IPPs, developers, investors.
• Strong analytical and quantitative modeling skills.
• Ability to present complex topics to non-technical audiences.
• Experience leading client meetings, workshops, or presentations.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, project-based environment.
• Initiative, ownership, and accountability with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning consulting projects, including market, technology, and policy assessments.
• Oversee project economic analyses, cost analyses, and contracting strategies.
• Manage technical due diligence and owner’s engineering reviews for power/energy projects.
• Provide client program and project management support and governance improvements.
• Develop conceptual plans with Sargent & Lundy’s technical teams to meet client needs.
• Prepare and present project implementation strategies to client executives and teams.
• Translate technical findings into client-ready deliverables and reports.
• Lead discrete workstreams within larger engagements and coordinate junior staff.
