Job summary

Xcel Energy in Denver is seeking a strategic Leader to guide Energy Supply E&C capital management processes, policies, and training across the fleet. You will drive standardized project management, ensure SOx and regulatory alignment, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver value on over $2B of capital projects.

You will manage a team of consultants, develop training programs, monitor KPI performance, and implement modern learning solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in technical, business administration, education or related field or 10+ years combined education/experience.
• Minimum 5 years experience in project management, process review, re-engineering and analytics.
• Understanding of power generation, construction/plant operation or equivalent.
• Formal project management methodology design and management training required, contract development and commercial experience recommended.
• Knowledge of adult learning theory, practices, ability to evaluate effectiveness of training and tracking methodology.
• Demonstrated leadership / management capabilities and experience, ability to influence others, and proven performance / results.
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills, and excellent written and verbal communications skills required.
• Knowledge of MS office and I/T systems / technical development experience recommended.
• Must have ability to travel as required to manage responsibilities across the fleet.
• Job assignments and travel between regions is required

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of Energy Supply approved project management methodology, processes, policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.
• Drive strategy for business process standardization within Energy Supply including identifying process improvements.
• Manage the development and implementation of the annual Energy Supply Engineering & Construction project training program across the fleet.
• Oversee the development of training curriculum, implementation and evaluation of trainings held.
• Research trends in technology for training and integrate learning solutions with business processes.
