Job summary

OSF HealthCare in Illinois seeks an Emergency Medical Services System and Emergency Management Coordinator to oversee EMS system compliance and emergency management activities.

You will support preparedness, response, mitigation, and recovery efforts, coordinate patient care during transport and medical communications, and work with regional hospitals, EMS personnel, physicians, and regulatory agencies to ensure coordinated emergency response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Public Safety, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years EMS experience with critical thinking, project management, problem solving, collaboration and public speaking.
• Illinois Paramedic License OR Illinois RN License.
• Lead Instructor License – must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• ACLS/PHTLS or ITLS – must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
• PALS or PEPP – within 90 days of hire.
• FEMA IS-100, 200, 700, and 800 – within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee EMS system compliance and emergency management activities.
• Support preparedness, response, mitigation, and recovery efforts.
• Coordinate patient care during transport, medical communications, and system education, policies, and plans.
• Serve as liaison with regional hospitals, EMS personnel, physicians, emergency management partners, and regulatory agencies.
