REMSA seeks an EMS Manager to lead and coordinate EMS operations, emergency management, and resource deployment. The role emphasizes patient-centered pre-hospital care, regulatory compliance, and staff development. Weekend work and some holidays may be required.

The successful candidate will have 5 years of EMS service experience, a valid NREMT certification, and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Supervisory experience is essential, with management experience strongly preferred.

Formación

• Five years of high performance EMS service experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in EMS Administration, Public Health, or related fields.
• Supervisory/manager experience required; leadership experience preferred.
• NREMT certification required; Paramedic or RN highly desired.
• Two years EMS management level experience required if holding EMT/AEMT at NREMT level.
• Strong decision-making based on objective findings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• ICS 100 & 200 certifications required; ICS 300 & 400 to be obtained on hire.

Position Summary

The EMS Manager serves as a key leader responsible for the oversight and coordination of emergency medical services operations, emergency management, personnel, and resources. This position ensures the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered pre-hospital care while aligning with organizational goals and regulatory compliance. Must be open to working a weekend day and some holidays.

Qualifications/ Experience Requirements

• Five (5) years high performance EMS service experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in emergency management, Public Health, EMS Administration, Business Administration or related field preferred.
• Supervisor experience required; manager experience strongly preferred.
• A minimum certification of NREMT is required, Paramedic or RN highly desired.
• A minimum of two (2) years EMS management level experience is required for candidates fulfilling the clinical certification above at the NREMT (EMT & AEMT) level.
• Must possess an ability to make critical decisions based upon objective findings.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships for employee coaching and development.
• Must be able to handle customer and employee complaints using established guidelines and common sense.
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• ICS 100 & 200 Certifications required. ics 300 & 400 to be obtained upon hire.

Supervision Exercised

Exercises direct supervision over EMS Supervisors and Ground Operations staff.
