Job summary

Cooper Green Mercy Health Services Authority seeks an experienced Senior Emergency Preparedness Coordinator to lead the development, implementation, and assessment of emergency management plans and trainings. You will coordinate with internal leaders and external partners to strengthen readiness and resilience across the organization.

Responsibilities include running drills, maintaining the ICS/Command Center, and ensuring compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, FEMA, OSHA, and state

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management or related field.
• Four (4) years of experience in emergency management or related areas.
• Experience developing emergency operations plans and conducting drills.
• Experience with CMS, Joint Commission, OSHA, FEMA, or similar agencies preferred.
• Licenses/certifications required upon hire within 12 months: FEMA IC-100, IC-200, IS-300, IS-700, IS-800, CPR/BLS.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and evaluates emergency preparedness plans.
• Plans and conducts staff training, tabletop and functional exercises.
• Coordinates with state/local agencies and partners for planning and response.
• Maintains ICS and Emergency Operations Center readiness.
• Produces reports and maintains compliance documentation.
